CITIES/REGIONS AS PLATFORMS FOR INNOVATION
Smart Circular Cities/Regions
According to the Norwegian parliamentary resolution for Norway’s Digital Agenda, Smart Cities are defined as:
“A smart city uses digital technology to make cities better places to live and work in. Smart City initiatives aim to improve public services and citizens’ quality of life, maximize public resources, increase city productivity, and reduce climate and environmental problems in the cities. “
WHETHER YOU LIVE IN A CITY OR A VILLAGE
Connecting the stakeholders can enable social, environmental as well as economic impact through collaboration.
We work with a broad array of organisations working to develop solutions and strategies to support innovative methods to optimise resource utilisation.
Technology is changing the way that cities, communities, businesses, NGOs and people access what they need. Understanding the impact of the platform and sharing economies and shifting to an access over ownership model can support a regenerative vs extractive economic solution that enables a transition to a Circular Economy
RESEARCH & DATA
A combination of resource usage data and Life Cycle Analysis information provides researchers with concrete numbers to measure impact.
SOCIAL & ECONOMIC IMPACT
Enabling access to resources has a direct impact on the socio-economic pressure on citizens. Long term data can measure the impact on local, regional and national levels providing insight into the shadow economy
To increase resource utilization through smart solutions supporting a transition to a Circular Economy. Increased utilization of assets reduces overall consumption and creates positive economic, environmental and social impact. We actively work to change consumption habits and increase the understanding of the importance of access over ownership.
